Manufacturing Processes
With a range of castings and products manufactured at our facilities, a strict control on the manufacturing processes is what ensures that each product delivered by NITIN Castings is backed by a promise of reliability.

Centrifugal Castings
A process specially developed to manufacture cylindrical shapes, where molten metal is introduced at high speed into a metallic mould, enabling the metal to solidify into cylindrical shapes under centrifugal force. The challenges associated in manufacturing this shape with any other process make centrifugal casting – both horizontal and vertical processes, a popular choice for manufacturing alloys in cylindrical shapes.

Shell Moulded Castings
A moulding process that uses metallic patterns and resin-coated sand to manufacture shell moulds. The process is optimized to get improved quality of moulds by varying the temperature of metal patterns, holding time of the resin-coated sand, and curing of moulds. In addition to delivering products with an excellent surface finish, this process also reduces machining and foundry defects while improving internal airflow wherever required.

Sand Castings
A process that manufactures steel castings for heat, corrosion, and wear resistance applications. The process manufactures castings by using a box-less 2-part sand machine moulding process. Deploying a 10 MT/Hr moulding machine, from OMEGA of UK, the system can reclaim up to 85% sand through a mechanical attrition unit. Our facilities also manufactures low weight sand castings with close unmachined dimensional tolerances and good surface finishes.

Investment Castings
A manufacturing process that allows parts to be customized to suit its function without compromising on the quality and overcoming manufacturing limitations. The process uses wax patterns injected into metallic dies by a press, which are then covered with ceramics and baked. The cavity formed is then replaced by molten metal. The process not only eases the manufacture of complex and intricate parts, but also reduces the processing cost of tools and equipment.
